Kony 2012

One of the most popular videos on Youtube is the Kony 2012 video. It has hit more than 90,000,000 views and it has gone viral ever since it has been up. The video takes you on an  emotional roller coaster ride, and leaves you with an advertisement, and an ask for a donation. I felt sad and upset to know what was going on in the world, and had a mind set that this person, Joseph Kony, needed to be found, and punished. The things I heard that he does, and did, was sickening and hard to imagine. When time passed, people started to spread rumors and criticize the video itself, and the maker of the video. Many people have a diverse opinion about the way they view the video, but I believe the video is very beneficial, instead of it being fake and dissimulating.

The video is real, and these situations that are happening in Uganda is real, and there needs to be an action taken to stop this cruelty and the start of the actions were all thanks to the video that went viral, Kony 2012.

The film was a way to notice the things that are happening in the world, and it has started many actions to help these kids in Uganda. And without this video, the actions that are taken now in the society.

Although Jason Russel as a person has done some odd and unusual things, like going around in public nude, and etc., but putting that aside, he has made a movement, in the peoples hearts and he has moved something, in a 30 minute film. He has devoted his time, and effort to put this matter into action, and therefore he shouldn't be criticized for his way of expression through film and nudity, and he should be appreciated.

There are a lot of rumors saying that the video is a scam, but if you think of it, the world would've never even knew about Joseph Kony. 

Yes, there are a lot of things going around about how the video is not credible and how it's a scam and all that, if you look at all the actions we took because of that video is incredible, and we can't un-acknowledge the help from the video. Therefore the Kony 2012 video was made for a purpose and the purpose was served, and the video is not just one of those viral videos, but a beneficial viral video.
